Arden & GEM is pleased to announce we will be hosting a virtual seminar with PCC to provide insight and guidance on The General Practice Veteran Friendly Accreditation Programme. The event will take place on Wednesday, 26 June 2024 between 13.00-16.00.

PCC is an independent, not-for-profit social enterprise that supports the development of health and care services; providing specialist primary care advice with a focus on events, flexible expert support, and personal and team development services. Arden & GEM is working collaboratively with PCC to spread learning and best practice from our broad experience within the primary care arena.

The seminar will introduce the General Practice Veteran Friendly Accreditation Programme and helps GP practice(s) gain a head start to the sign-up process. The Programme encourages GP practices to sign up to become “veteran-friendly” and subsequently improve medical care and treatment for former members of the armed forces – the Programme is backed by NHS England and the Royal College of GPs.

Speakers from NHS Arden & GEM as well as veterans will cover the following:

The session is aimed at GP practices and primary care networks who are interested in gaining the accreditation as well as commissioners who want to support their practices and ensure there are a good number of accredited practices in their area.
