NHS Arden & GEM CSU’s Engagement, Communications and Marketing team has been shortlisted for a prestigious regional PR award for a campaign to raise awareness of modern slavery in the West Midlands.
Arden & GEM has been successfully appointed to the Transforming Organisations, Partnerships and Systems (Transform) framework, officially launched by the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub to replace the Commissioning Partnership framework with a refreshed and extended offering.
As part of a review of community dental services, NHS Arden & GEM’s engagement and communications specialists were commissioned to design and deliver a comprehensive patient and public engagement study.
In order to raise awareness of the prevalence of modern slavery in the West Midlands, and the devastating effects it can have on health, Arden & GEM brought together key agencies and organisations (including the NHS, West Midlands Police, Birmingham City Council and the West Midlands Anti Slavery Network) as part of a hard hitting campaign.

NHS Arden & GEM Commissioning Support Unit undertook an initial financial analysis to investigate cost drivers, demand pressures and identify trends.
As part of a campaign to help people to stay well this winter, Arden & GEM’s engagement, communications and social marketing team is introducing families across the West Midlands to Flo the friendly dragon.
Arden & GEM managed and delivered an 18 month project, on behalf of NHS Birmingham and Solihull CCG and NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG, to develop 22 harmonised policies, ready for implementation in January 2019. The new policies will ensure the best clinical outcomes are achieved for patients and local healthcare resources are utilised in the most efficient way.
Almost 1 in 5 mums-to-be in Derbyshire smoke through pregnancy with considerable health risks for both mother and baby. Erewash Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) recruited NHS Arden & GEM CSU to deliver a social marketing campaign to bring about behaviour change which would feed into a long term strategy to reduce the number of women smoking at the time of delivery.
